As your child heads into Key Stage 4 (Year 10 and 11), they will study the compulsory subjects of English Literature, English Language, Maths, Combined Science. All students will also study Core PE and Life Chances lessons as compulsory subjects, as directed by the Department for Education. 

However students have the opportunity to pick three objects subjects from the below list:

  • Art & Design
  • Photography
  • Music
  • Dance
  • Drama
  • Religious Studies
  • Business Studies
  • Digital Information Technology
  • Design Technology
  • Hospitality & Catering
  • Sports Studies

We always aim to provide students with their first choices where the timetable allows, but in some cases a reserve choice subject is often allocated due to timetable demands and scheduling.

Key Dates:

  • Wednesday 25th February 2026: Year 9 Options Assembly
  • Thursday 26th February 2026: Year 9 Options Information Evening 4.30pm – 7.30pm
  • Thursday 12th March 2026: Year 9 Parents’ / Carers’ Evening
  • Friday 27th March 2026: Deadline for submitting your Option Choice Form.
  • SUMMER 2026 – OPTION CHOICES TIMETABLES CONFIRMED.
