For your child to access the wide range of opportunities both academically and socially here at Little Lever, consistent attendance and being on time are fundamental.

Here’s a reminder of our new school day and attendance procedures.

  • The school building opens at 8am with free breakfast for ALL STUDENTS between 8am and 8.15am.
  • All students are expected to arrive by 8.20am for line up and then they go straight into their first lesson
  • If a student arrives after 8.50am, they will be marked with a U Code (unauthorized absence) for morning registration
  • Afternoon marks are taken at 12.50pm.

A student’s overall attendance is calculated using both their morning and afternoon marks.

Our September to January 15-Week Attendance Challenge

In the first 15 school weeks of the new academic year (September 7th 2026 – 15th January 2027), it is important to realise that just 8 days absence would mean your child’s attendance would be classed as Persistently Absent and that their attendance would not be able to come out of this category for the remainder of the academic year.

Our Attendance Coffee Morning

We are hosting an Attendance Coffee morning in our school library from 10am to 11am on Wednesday 15th July. There you can meet and chat to our Attendance Team in person; Ms Charlton, Ms Yogunali, Ms Vining, and Mr Cordwell to discuss any concerns you have, and to receive support and advice on any aspect of school attendance, whilst having a brew and a biscuit! We’d love to see you there.
