Year 11 food preparation & nutrition must-do task - Xmas work

If you have a target of grade 5 or above:

Collect pictures and menus of foods from different areas/regions or countries e.g. foods from Lancashire, England, Scotland, Northern Spain, Cantonese foods, South America. Categorise them into ingredients (individual foods that can be eaten by themselves or used as part of a bigger recipe) and dishes (things cooked using a variety of different ingredients). Collect menus from restaurants/takeaways which specialise in foods from an area/region or country. Research the most common/traditional foods from an area/region or country. What do they have in common? Is there anything about the region that explains why these foods are popular e.g. climate, religion or landscape?

If you have a target of grade 3-4:
