Macmillan Cake Sale Raises over £200

The school supported the annual Macmillan Coffee morning on 30th September 2016 by selling cakes which had been donated by staff and pupils in order to raise money for Macmillan Charity. It took place during break time and lunch in the Sports Hall. Prefects were selected to help run the stall and advertise the cake sale.

Students were given the responsibility of running the stall and selling cakes. Communincating prices and information with fellow students and staff give students a taste of a commercial experience. More importantly, students also gained a real insight into the work of Macmillan and the vital work Macmillan nurses carry out through a series of assemblies.

The students and staff donated an overwhelming number of cakes which has helped to raise over £220! Money is still coming in from leftover cakes being sold to staff.
