Little Lever School Girls’ Football Team take on Manchester City!

Football Bolton Wanderers1

The school is proud to report of the further success of the Little Lever School Girls’ Football Team. Due to their success at the recent Bolton Cup, the organisers (who work at Bolton Wanderers) asked our team to represent Bolton Wanderers against Manchester City Academy at Connell College on the evening of Wednesday 14th December.

The girls played nine-a-side match on the training ground of Manchester City Academy and, as usual, the girls put in another outstanding performance. After conceding an early goal, the girls were determined to keep their heads up and fight back hard. The defence strengthened and didn’t let a single player through and we began playing the attacking football the girls are starting to become well known for.

The rest of the match consisted of the game being played entirely in their defending half, and 3 goals later we brought home a 3-1 win. Once again, Mrs Jackson and the school is so incredibly proud of the girls; they had a fantastic time and they really were a credit to the school. The girls have now been asked to represent Bolton Wanderers in further upcoming matches and they are very much looking forward to starting the Bolton Schools’ Football League in January. The girls’ team consists of;

Darcie Tennant

Mollie Barton

Daisy Harrison Taylor

Hannah Tipping

Megan Chambers

Fola Fasehum

Keira Howard

Ebony Langley

Laila Phillips
