GCSE Results Success: A Message from Mr Mckeon

DSC 1287

We are incredibly proud of the achievements of our Year 11 students. They have achieved the best GCSE results in the school’s history!

We are here to help every student achieve things they never thought they could and it was great to see so many students open their GCSE envelopes in astonishment at what they had achieved.  They truly achieved things they never thought they could!
It was also great to see our Year 10 students turn up for their early entry GCSE results and like Year 11 they have performed exceptionally well!
Thank you to all those parents who came to celebrate and support their children; there was a great atmosphere in the room and it really showed the Little Lever community at its best!
We wish our GCSE students all the best for the future and hope they use their brilliant GCSE results as a catalyst to achieve more great things in their future!
IMPROVEMENTS ACROSS EVERY AREA!
  • Students achieving Grade 5+ in English and maths has improved by 16ppts to 45% and is above the national average (2018)
  • Students achieving Grade 4+ (Old Grade C) in English and maths has improved by 14ppts to 63% and is in line with the national average (2018)
  • Students achieving Grade 5+ in English has improved by 20ppts to 58% and is above the national average (2018)
  • Students achieving Grade 4+ (Old Grade C) in English has improved by 15ppts to 72%
  • Students achieving Grade 5+ in maths has improved by 15ppts to 55% and is above the national average (2018)
  • Students achieving Grade 4 + (Old Grade C) has improved by 11ppts to 72% and is above the national average (2018)
There are some significant improvements across almost every subject area with many subjects now at or significantly above the national average!
We are excited to see what our current students can achieve over their time here at Little Lever and look forward to seeing them all again in a few weeks.
