The day was celebrated at the University of Lancaster, the second university visit for the students that have engaged in the Nationwide programme since April. Staff and students attended to celebrate the massive achievements made by these students.

They have graduated with either a 2:2, 2:1 or a 1st from a Maths based programme ‘Can stars float in the bath?’, the thesis of the scholars Phd student.

The students have had a unique and vast insight into Higher education. They have engaged with frequent  in-school tutorials with the Phd students and built on their writing, research and evaluation skills to complete their own 2000 word assignment which supports their GCSE maths and science skills.

Both the tutors and facilitators were extremely complimentary of our students. They spoke at the ceremony and stated that the students that engaged with the programme were inspirational, enthusiastic, innovative and an absolute pleasure to work with.
