We are incredibly proud of our pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) who have shown remarkable determination and resilience as they engage with an ambitious and adapted curriculum at Little Lever School. The success reflected in our 2024 SEND GCSE results is a testament to their hard work, perseverance, and the tailored support they receive.
These achievements not only demonstrate academic progress, but they also mark significant steps towards empowering our students to transition confidently and independently into adulthood. Each success, whether in the classroom or beyond, is a vital part of their journey, highlighting their potential to thrive in a wide range of opportunities and pursuits.
Our commitment to fostering a well-rounded educational experience is evident in the wide range of activities our pupils with SEND participate in beyond the classroom. We celebrate the outstanding achievements of our pupils in the SEND Games, where they have excelled in both Boccia and Table Cricket. Achieving second place in both events for the North West of England is a testament to their commitment, teamwork, and sporting spirit.
Pupils with SEND, actively contribute to the vibrant life of Little Lever School, taking part in performances in Drama and Music, where they express their creativity and talent with pride. Through their involvement in the Student Leadership Council and Debate team, they develop critical thinking, communication, and leadership skills, while also having a meaningful voice in school decision-making. Additionally, our pupils embrace the sense of community through clubs such as the Knitting Club and as librarians, showing their passion for creativity, service, and learning. These diverse experiences play a crucial role in their personal growth and the development of confidence and independence.
Beyond school, our pupils also enjoy enriching experiences through trips that take them across the country and even internationally, further broadening their horizons and enhancing their life skills. Whether on educational excursions or cultural explorations, these trips offer invaluable opportunities for personal development, social interaction, and the chance to engage with the world outside the classroom. At Little Lever, we believe that success is not confined to any one area but is reflected in the holistic development of our students. By encouraging participation in a variety of activities, we ensure our pupils with SEND are not only prepared for adulthood but are also equipped with the skills, experiences, and confidence to excel in all areas of life.
These accomplishments embody our philosophy that success is measured in many different ways, from academic growth to sporting excellence to personal development.
