E-Safety

E-Safety encompasses internet technologies and electronic communications such as mobile phones and wireless technology.  It highlights the need to educate children and young people about the benefits and risks of using new technology and provides safeguards and awareness for users to enable them to control their online experiences.

Little Lever School was rated as “Outstanding” for Child Safety by Ofsted, part of that commitment to a safer environment for your child is our policy on e-Safety. As technology evolves we constantly update and adapt our policy and teaching to meet the safety needs of the children in our care. In addition to agreeing to a set of e-Safety rules for acceptable ICT use, learners are taught how to become safe and responsible ICT users.

Our ICT systems in school are constantly monitored and updated by expert technical staff, ensuring a high standard of safety for the young people who use them.

The school’s e-Safety policy will operate in conjunction with other policies including those for student behaviour, curriculum, data protection and security.
