Year 11 Easter Holiday Must-Do Tasks: SCIENCE

Over the Easter holiday period, all Year 11 students are expected to complete the 'must-do' work tasks set by each subject area. Students must bring back to school their completed work on the first week back after the holidays for their teachers to assess. Invites to the Prom will depend on students completing these tasks. The work is designed to support coursework completion and exam preparation.

To keep up your revision and improve your chances of getting your target grade, you must work on the following.

1. Spend 15 – 20 minutes daily using Tassomai to revise subject content.  Your teacher will monitor your daily activity and will discuss this with you when you return to school.

2. Complete the extended writing questions from Biology, Chemistry and Physics.  These must be given in on Monday 24th April.

Extra work:

1. Use access past papers for practice.  Remember, you will need to access both ‘Science A’ and ‘Additional Science’.

2. Use BBC GCSE Bitesize Science – work through ‘Revision Bites’ then try the ‘Test Bites’ – it marks them instantly and gives you feedback.

3. Use your Revise-athon timetable to ensure you are covering ALL aspects of the syllabus in your revision.

4. Use your Revision Guides – you should now have a Red Core Guide and a Blue Additional Guide.  Try to work through one double page per day – and alternate between the books, as you have A LOT of content to get through!
